About Flower Feather Farm, chicks & dahlias

Flower Feather Farm is a small chick and dahlia farm in the NW corner of Washington State. Year-round we custom hatch and hand-raise chicks for local chicken enthusiasts and offer farm-fresh table eggs and hatching eggs. Each spring, we ship dahlia tubers across the country and spend each summer growing next year's tubers. We also stock Aubiose Hemp Bedding products and Natural Farm Feeds chicken feed for local pick-up. Our 2026 hatch schedule includes Ermine Ameraucanas, Wheaten/Blue Wheaten/Splash Ameraucanas, Jubilee Orpingtons, Wheaten Olive Eggers, Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Marans, and Swedish Flower Hens.

Suzanne has been wonderful to purchase chicks from, and has been kind and knowledgeable when answering the billion questions I've had as a newbie chicken owner. My rooster and two hens from Flower Feather Farm are happy, healthy, and friendly.

I was going to look at how to request the chicks I wanted, and checked "available" and realized all but one breed on my list was available! I put in my order and we made the 2 hour trek to Bellingham. It was well worth it. The farm is in a beautiful area, and the little parts of the farm I could see through the fence are so cozy and happy. And the chicks are so so so cute! Suzanne package them up in boxes, and each chick was color-coded with a little dot on the tummy feathers. It has been two weeks and all 9 of my chicks are happy and healthy, they didn't even get pasty butt. They are also very friendly little chicks and a few like to perch on my hand. Suzanne definitely cares about her birds and has been quick to respond to questions. Did I mention how cute they are?

I have now gotten 2 sets of chicks. 5 different breeds. I am in love with them all. The farm is helpful with all my questions and concerns. She is very quick to respond. Absolutely fantastic! Suzanne was very caring for her chicks showing us the best traveling options to keep them calm on our journey & ferry ride home … chicks acclimated perfectly in their new home …and the Chicks are beautiful! I received great communication through the whole process from ordering to a chick check a week after they we home! I highly recommended Flower & Feather farms if you’re looking for healthy beautiful chicks ! PS - chicken math got me, ordered 10 came home with 11 ….lol Couldn’t resist! Follow up 3 weeks later! Chicks are thriving! And beautiful! They have great personalities and dispositions! Highly recommend Flower and Feather Farm !! New pic below.. Follow up - Our chicks are 14 wks old now and are 10 beautiful pullets! <~ I think that’s right in chicken lingo! And 1 beautiful Cockerel which I am unable to keep -but thanks to Suzanne at Flowers Feather Farm she was so kind to help me in rehoming my beautiful Rooster! He will be at his new home Sunday .. I will miss him ☹️ All have adapted well to their new home “Cluckingham Palace” we are still working on fine tuning … along with making “channels” for there grazing areas. I’ve posted new photos below …
